This is a recreation of "Fallout New Vegas", a post-apocalyptic game set in the Mojave Desert in the year 2281. This recreation is extremely cut down. Would you like to [[start]]? <img src="https://theandrewbailey.com/contentImmutable/AUt7g1bg/post/2014_FalloutNV.jpg" />

You wake up in Goodsprings, a small town in the middle of nowhere populated mostly by ranchers. Doc Mitchell, the only doctor in town tells you that you have been shot in the head but managed to survive. A securitron by the name of Victor saw what happened and dug you out of your grave and brought you to Doc Mitchell. Victor explains to you that the men who shot you were talking about a "Platinum Chip" and one of the men was wearing a checkered suit and the others were wearing black leather jackets. That's all he knows, he says that some people around town may know more and that you could ask them. You thank Victor for digging you out of the grave and Doc Mitchell for saving your life. Doc Mitchell gives you some clothing and supplies, he then sends you on your way. [[exit]] Doc Mitchell's house

You exit the house and see a small town with a few ranchers and a couple stores. Would you like to go into [[Saloon]] or go down the road and [[exit goodsprings]]

You walk down the road and it splits into two paths. You look towards the your left and see the shining lights of New Vegas including the Lucky 38 tower. You can go left onto the [[I-15]] or [[continue straight]] towards the next town.

You enter the saloon and see a lady behind the bar named Trudy. She may know some information about your attackers. Would you like to [[ask trudy]] or [[leave the saloon]]?

You ask Trudy if she knows anything about the attackers. She said one of them was wearing a checkered suit and the others called him Benny, she thinks that he is from the Strip. The other guys were wearing leather jackets and jeans, she said they looked like Great Khans. She said they were discussing their route back to New Vegas, she heard them say something about the North which is a dangerous route as it's filled with Deathclaws. Benny tried to hush them and they left. Do you want to [[leave the saloon]], ask what the [[great khans]] are, or [[ask what the strip is]]?

You see a road that goes out of Goodsprings. Would you like to [[exit goodsprings]]?

The Great Khans are a group of drug producers and dealers in Red Rock Canyon. They are also really hard to fight. Do you want to [[leave the saloon]] or [[ask what the strip is]]

The Strip is the remains of the old world city called Las Vegas now called New Vegas. It contains some casinos and other buildings from the old world. People go there to waste their money in the casinos. Would you like to [[leave the saloon]] or ask what the [[great khans]] are?

You walk down the I-15 and get killed by a pack of Deathclaws. Would you like to return to the [[start]]

You keep walking until you get to a town called Primm, you remember this town. This is the town that the Mojave Express is located in. The Mojave Express is the company that you were a courier for. You walk around in the town and see that the NCR has made camp here. The NCR, New California Republic, is a democracy based out of California. They are in Nevada to prevent the spread of the Legion and to expand their territory. They are in Primm to try and contain the prisoners that staged a riot and have escaped from the NCR prison on the other side of the mountain, they also suspect that there was a Legion raid on the next town over. Would you like to [[continue]] to the next town?

You walk down the road and see the smoke rising from the next town. You see a sign that says Nipton. The town is quiet, too quiet, the only thing you hear is the burning of tires and buildings. You cautiously walk towards the the center road in the town and you see that the towns residents have been crucified and are near death. Most of the buildings in the town are on fire are already burnt to the ground. The town hall is right down the road from you and you walk towards it. As you approach the townhall a group of men and dogs walk out of the building. They are dressed in red robes and leather skirts, just like ancient Roman soldiers. A man with a wolf headdress approaches you, he is in charge of these soldiers, his name is Vulpes Inculta. He tells you that he is the one that raided the town. He explains that the Legion is an empire meant to resemble that of the Roman Empire, the empereor is a man named Julius Caesar. The Legion is a dictatorship that makes slaves of their enemies and forces tribes to integrate with the legion. Vulpes Inculta says that he will let you live if you promise to tell others what you saw here. Now that you know the two main factions would you like to [[join the Legion]] or [[join the NCR]]?

Vulpes Inculta allows you to join the legion. They start walking into the mountains and after a couple hours of walking you make it to a Legion raiding camp in NCR territory. You spend the night in the camp and they say that they'll leave for "The Fort". You notice they have people handcuffed and blindfolded, presumably prisoners that they'll turn into slaves. As everyone falls asleep do you decide to [[sneak away]] or to [[stay with the legion]]?

Vulpes Inculta lets you live and they start hiking into the mountains you decide to let them get away from you before you start your trek to the next town. After a while you decide that it's time to go. Do you want to stay on the [[road with cliffs towering both sides]] or do you want to [[go into the mountains]]?

You quietly crawl out of the tent to make your escape. Do you [[free the prisoners]] or [[run off]] into the wilderness?

You wake up in the morning and head off to a place called Cottonwood Cove. It's a small resort that the Legion captured from the NCR, it's their main way of accessing NCR territory from their fort in Legion territory. As you walk into the resort you again notice more crucified people and slaves being taken to the fort. They take you to a dock with a raft and start the trek upriver to [[the fort]].

You take a knife and cut the ropes around their wrists and remove their blindfolds. The prisoners thank you and one of them says that they know a town only a few miles away called [[Novac]].

As you run away you fall into a radioactive pit and you die. Would you like to go back to the [[start]]?

You run away from the Legion camp as fast as you can with the prisoners until you reach Novac. It's a small town with a motel that has a broken "no vacancy" sign, it also has a big dinosaur that you can [[walk into]].

You open the door to the dinosaur and see that it is a a gift shop. There is a cashier named "Cliff Briscoe" he has a surplus of rocket and dinosaur souvenirs and seems eager to sell them. You ignore him and walk up the stairs to the dinosaur's head. You open the door and see a man standing there with binoculaurs and a sniper rifle. His name is Boone, he explains that he used to be a sniper for the NCR, but is now retired. He mentions how his wife was taken as a prisoner by the Legion and he plans to [[seek revenge]] on the Legion.

You make it to the Fort and make the wlak up the hill, you take notice of the starved slaves. You walk past the arena where people and animals fight to the death. You make it to the tent in which Caesar lives. As you enter the tent you notice a man wearing a checkered suit tied up and on his knees. Caesar says that he is glad to have you for his upcoming attack on the Hoover Dam. This will be the "Second Battle of Hoover Dam". The legion almost took control of the dam in the first battle but made the mistake of following the retreating NCR troops into booby-trapped "Boulder City". The Legion lost most of their forces in the explosions. Since the battle a few years ago the legion has waited on the one end of the dam waitng to make its move. Caesar explains that he took this man wearing the checkered suit as a prisoner and that his name is "Benny". He understands that he shot you in the head and left you to die in a grave. Caesar will let you do whatever you want to to [[Benny]].

You start walking down the road and everthings going fine. You find an old car with an orange cone next to it. Out of Curiosity you lift the cone and step onto a landmine which blows your leg off. Raiders start flooding down from the cliffs shooting at you. YOu crawl to the car and prop yourself up against it. A raider walks up to you and shoots you. Would you like to go back to the [[start]]?

You walk into the mountains and after a while you see a small town with a dinosaur. You walk towards the town and see a sign that says "[[novac]]".

You see some traders in the town, a few houses, and a dinosaur that you can [[walk into]].

You say that you also don't like the Legion. You ask him if he would like to [[team up]] to fight the legion.

He happily agrees to this and he says that you should head to [[Camp McCarran]], the main military base for the NCR in the Mojave.

You both head down the highway and go to Camp McCarran. You enter the camp and meet Colonel James Hsu. He sends you on missions for the NCR after you ask him for work to do. As you and Boone trek through the Mojave the Legion sends wave after wave of surprise raids after you two have started helping the NCR so much. Both of you have survived these raids and have killed many legionaries, Caesar sees that he can't stop you. He sends a spy to meet you. The spy has given you an invitation to travel to The Fort and meet Caesar. Do you [[accept]] or [[decline]] the invitation?

The spy takes you to the dock in Cottonwood Cove and you get on the raft to get to the fort. As you enter the Fort they ask you to handover your weapons. As you hand over your weapons you decide to keep your secret, concealed weapons "just in case". You go to [[Caesar's]] tent.

The spy leaves and you return to Colonel Hsu. He says that General Oliver believes that the Legion plans on attacking the Hoover Dam again. You start your journey to the [[Hoover Dam]].

As you approach Benny you notice how surprised he looks. He says how he's sorry for shooting you in the head. Do you [[kill Benny]], [[let him fight in the arena]], or [[set Benny free]]?

You shoot Benny in the head just the way he did to you but you make sure he doesn't live. You walk back to [[caesar's tent]].

Do you want Benny to fight [[legion dogs]] or a [[legionary]]?

You untie Benny and without even thanking you he sprints out of the tent. You walk back to [[caesar's tent]].

The whole camp gathers around as Benny helplessly tries to fight against the Legion dogs. He barely lasts a minute before he is killed by the dogs. You return to [[caesar's tent]].

The young legionary starts to fight Benny, Benny manages to put up a fight for a few minutes but succumbs to the beating. The gladiator kills him and you return to [[caesar's tent]].

As you walk to the Hooover Dam you walk throught the remains of "Boulder City". During the "First Battle of the Hoover Dam", NCR rangers laced the entire city with explosives. General Oliver ordered a retreat from the Dam. The Legion made the mistake of going after the retreating NCR troops. As the legionaries entered the city, the rangers set off the explosives killing at least half of the Legion army. This is what caused the Legion to lose the battle. There is a memorial dedicated to all of the NCR soldiers who lost their lives' just outside the city near some of the only remaining buildings. You [[continue to the Hoover Dam]].

You enter the Dam offices and see General Oliver. He says he has heard many great things about you and is glad to have you working with the NCR. He explains how he believes that the LEgion may attack in the next day or two. You decide to [[participate in the Second Battle of Hoover Dam]].

General Oliver tells you that you need to lead the attack against the Legion forces coming across the dam. After many hours of fighting the NCR emerges victorious over the Legion and forced the Legion to leave their fort and to go back to Arizona. Thanks for playing my game! Caesar says that he has wasted many soldiers' lives trying to take you out, but before he gets into detail he explains that he captured a man wearing a checkered suit named Benny. Benny has said that he shot you in the head. Caesar lets you decide what to do with [[Benny]].

You walk back to [[Caesar's tent]].

You walk back to Caesar's tent and he explains that he is going to attack the NCR on the Hoover Dam. You decide to participate in the [[Second Battle of Hoover Dam]]

You join Legate Lanius, Caesar's main army commander, on the assault of the dam. After a long battle the Legion wins and takes control of the Dam. You forced the NCR to leave the Mojave and to go back to California. Thanks for playing my game! Would you like to go back to the [[start]]?

Caesar, after letting you decide what to do with Benny, tells you that you have two options: Join the Legion or die. Do you [[pull out your concealed gun]] and shoot Caesar and his guards or do you [[die]].

You shoot Caesar and his guards open fire, you and Boone fight all of his guards. You manage to survive and [[exit the tent]]

You get killed by the guards. Would you like to go back to the [[start]]?

You and Boone sprint to the gate of the camp dodging the gunfire from the entire Legion army. You make it to the raft and make your way back to Cottonwood Cove and disguise yourself as legionaries to get through. You decide to go to the [[Hoover Dam]] because you think that you killing Caesar will cause the Legion to attack the NCR.
